Day 2 - April 2nd
The lunch table was unusually quite on this day. Darian practically falling asleep on the table, Kini supporting him as he leaned on her, the timid Ichigo who had nothing to say to anyone else, and Ethan who was watching Dante and Kaitlin draw on either side of him. The silence was so unlike this table, but it was soon broken by Kaitlin.
I had this really weird dream last night.... She started as she looked at everyone, there was a man who had cat ears and a tail, 2 men with rabbit ears, a man with a hat, and a queen. All of these people looked like you guys, but none of them remembered who I was or their names.. Dante looked at her funny,
What else was in that dream? He asked, sounding a bit worried.
There was a court..... a weird pink and blue house... a rose maze.... and a forest.
R-really....? Dante said, looking very worried as he put his stuff down on the table and got up,
Yeah, why? Kaitlin asked, only to be ignored.
I have to go to the bathroom. Dante said lowly, sounding troubled as he walked away from the table and out to the bathroom in the hall. He walked into the empty bathroom, wondering to himself why shed be having that kind of dream. He was worried about her. Dante splashed water on his worry-plastered face and sighed as he looked deep into his own eyes. He remembered having a dream like that, but when he had that dream... well... well leave that to him to expose to you. He leaned against the wall thinking out loud,
Theres no way shes had that dream... She isnt...... she isnt like the old me.... not at all.... Kaitlin... will never be like that... He took a deep breath, he had to go back before they got too suspicious.
Dante walked back to the cafeteria and sat down at the table again and instantly was bombarded by Kaitlins voice.
Um.... Dante... I have something to tell you... She said nervously, twiddling her thumbs and looking down at her hands.
Yes? Dante asked, he wondered what she was going to say to him. He didnt notice Ethan poking Kaitlin in the back to make her talk, he was focused on Kaitlin. She was about to talk again, but the bell for class rang and in her fear, she grabbed her things and ran out for her next class.
Dream 2 - Accident?
Were glad you came again Miss Kaitlin. The hat said as the large tea pot poured her a cup of tea.
I must thank you for allowing me to come here again to talk, Sir Hat and Sir Hare.
It is a pleasure to have you around. Hare said with a ear to ear smile. Kaitlin smiled and took a sip of her tea as the trees gave way to a vine. On that vine, was the cat. He lowered himself into a seat near the hare and sighed deeply, looking grumpy and exhausted.
Hello Cat. The hat said with a smile, You look like youve been working.
Of course I have. You know very well I have a job to do.
Oh what grumpy cat! Its all work and no play! The hare said childishly to the cat. The cat glared at him and said rudely,
Make yourself useful, hare. Fetch me some tea and some cake.
HOW RUDE! The hare said acting like a f-ve-year-old as he wrinkled his nose in distaste for the cats rude behavior. The cat glared at him with the pure sign of death as he said in a death-like manner,
Grow up. The hare turned around, frightened by the terrible tone of the cat. The hat wasnt hesitant to throw a small grain of sugar at the cat so he realized that Kaitlin was sitting there, staring at him. The cat was slipping, they had been playing it cool this whole time and then suddenly the cat had let his true nature slip. The cat then said in a kind tone,
Excuse me Kaitlin, I am a bit grumpy from lack of sleep and a load of work. He was covering it up, and Kaitlin believed every word that slid from his sly lips.
The hare then came back with the cake and tea in hand. He put them down gently and the cat began to eat the cake. The cake was covered in bone-white frosting, and under that frosting was 2 layers of peach colored bread separated by blood red filling. The cat took a large bite of it, his mouth remained clear of it all except the red filling that oozed down the side of his mouth. The hat watched before picking up a napkin and holding it in front of the cat saying politely,
Wipe your mouth, cat. It is rude to allow food to drip down the side of your face like that.
R-right... The cat said lowly as he took the napkin and wiped the red filling on it. As the filling hit the napkin though, it looked like blood on a white piece of cloth, Kaitlin was about to question, but realized that cherry filling on a cake looked the same way when she had it once, so she ignored it.
Miss Kaitlin, would you mind going for a walk with me? The cat asked suddenly, Kaitlin looked at him and smiled widely,
I would love to go on a walk with you! She jumped out of her chair and ran over to the cat as he got up, she grabbed his arm and they walked away, the hat and hare smiling,
He will do it. They both said to each other, getting up to go see the queen.
The cat took Kaitlin to the lake, Kaitlin started to talk,
Im really glad.... that you took me here....
Why?
I have to tell you something. Kaitlin said walking in front of him, closer to the water, the cat smiled behind her back sickly, now he had his chance. All he had to do was push her head into the water and hold it and the job was done! She giggled in a flirtish manner and began to speak. She took a step and the cat pushed her over. Kaitlin thought she had tripped. The cat laid on top of her, keeping her head under the water with his body weight. He began to laugh but when she stopped moving, his heart leapt up into his throat and he jumped off of her. Kaitlin sprang up suddenly, taking a deep breath and she screamed,
WHAT HAPPENED?! The cat was silent, before she could see if he was there, he dashed off into the shadows, disappearing from sight.
Cat? She asked confused about his sudden disappearance, only to find he was completely gone. She shook her head and sat down on a mushroom, wringing out her soaked hair.
Curse this fake heart! The cat yelled to himself, taking his sharp claws and digging up the skin on his arm, making himself bleed. The rabbit watched with a little white box in his lap.
You know I wont tell...
Theyll know, rabbit! The cat said as he finally stopped, telling the rabbit that it was time to cover the wounds. The rabbit took bandages out of the box and wrapped the cats bleeding limbs, without thinking twice about it.
You could tell them that the night of the 29th day of the month will be her final day.... lure her to the castle and do it then, you will have no second thoughts by then. I might, but I always do. You wont.... cat.... stop blaming yourself for your failure, its her fault we fail. That Kaitlin.... her heart creates hearts in us and then we feel love.... blame her, not yourself. The cat looked at the rabbit and nodded,
Youre right... I should blame her, rabbit. The rabbit smiled and nodded back at him. The cat now had a plan. He knew how to kill Kaitlin.
I love them too!
it should've drowned her with furball
I'm sorry
it just seems that the most unfortunate character is the cat. you don't even know if it/he/she like what's it's/he's/she's doing.
